“John C. Lennox is a mathematician, bioethicist, philosopher of science, and Christian apologist. He serves as Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford and is an Emeritus Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science at Green Templeton College. Additionally, he holds positions as an Associate Fellow of the Saïd Business School at Oxford, a Senior Fellow with the Trinity Forum, and an adjunct lecturer at Wycliffe Hall and the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics.
Lennox earned his MA, MMath, and PhD from the University of Cambridge, with his doctoral dissertation focusing on “Centrality and Permutability in Soluble Groups.” He has authored over 70 mathematical papers and co-written two research-level texts in algebra, including Subnormal Subgroups of Groups (1987). Beyond mathematics, he is internationally recognized for his work at the intersection of science, philosophy, and religion. Lennox has published numerous books on these themes, such as God’s Undertaker: Has Science Buried God? (2007), Can Science Explain Everything? (2019), 2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity (2020), Where Is God in a Coronavirus World? (2020), and Cosmic Chemistry: Do God and Science Mix? (2021).”
